Gangnam Style Grand Finale


As our time in Korea drew to a close, we decided to make our final day in Gangnam-gu even more memorable. Exploring the vibrant district known for its entertainment, shopping, and cultural landmarks, we embarked on a fantastic adventure.

Our first stop was the renowned Statue of Gangnam Style, paying homage to the iconic 2012 mega-hit Korean song "Oppa Gangnam Style" by PSY. This larger-than-life statue stands as a symbol of Gangnam-gu's pride and showcases the global impact of this catchy tune. We couldn't resist taking the obligatory photo next to the statue, capturing a fun-filled memory for eternity.

Next, we eagerly headed to the sprawling Starfield CoEx Mall, one of the largest shopping complexes in Asia. With over 600 stores, the mall offered a truly remarkable shopping experience. From luxury brands to local boutiques, we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in a world of fashion, accessories, and unique souvenirs.

To take a break from the mall's bustling atmosphere, we ventured into the enchanting CoEx Library. Aptly known as a "book forest," this meticulously arranged haven was a respite where visitors could escape and delve into the world of literature. We were awestruck by the towering bookshelves housing books of various genres and languages. It was a place where one could easily spend hours exploring the shelves, discovering hidden literary gems, and capturing Instagram-worthy photos (which Maan and Toffy did!).

Concluding our day in Gangnam-gu, we couldn't resist the allure of the CoEx Aquarium, a mesmerizing marine wonderland. With its captivating displays and vibrant marine life, it provided a delightful end to our adventures in Gangnam. We also made sure to indulge in some last-minute shopping for "pasalubong," thoughtful gifts to bring back home, ensuring our loved ones would feel a part of our incredible journey.

Overall, our grand finale in Seoul was genuinely unforgettable. From paying tribute to Gangnam Style to exploring the Starfield CoEx Mall, library, and aquarium, we experienced the district's vibrant energy and were left with cherished memories and unique souvenirs.

United in our conviction, we campaigned passionately for then Vice-President Leni Robredo and her platform, "Gobyernong Tapat, Angat Buhay Lahat."
